I don’t take photographs. I keep promises.
“Somewhere between the nervous laughter of the haldi and the silence before the varmala, a wedding reveals itself. My job is to be there before it does — and to keep it alive long after the music stops.”
Sharad Nandwana founded Witty Productions with one belief: wedding imagery should be as timeless as the vows themselves. Trained in editorial portraiture and raised on Indian wedding tradition, he leads a small team that shoots fewer weddings, better — every celebration treated like a film production with a heart.
“Light is the language. Emotion is the story. The camera merely takes dictation.”
The best frames happen once. We read rooms, rituals and relationships — so the camera is already raised before the tear falls.
No rushing rituals, no herd of cameras. We work quietly in the background so your day stays yours — and the photographs stay honest.
Every image is balanced like a line of verse — shadow against gold, chaos against calm, movement against stillness.
A decade told in golden hour.
From a borrowed camera at a cousin’s sangeet to destination weddings across palaces, forts and hillsides — the road has been made of light.
First frame
A friend’s wedding, a borrowed camera — and the moment Sharad realised stillness could hold more emotion than any speech.
Witty Productions is born
A two-person studio with one promise: fewer weddings, deeper stories. The first palace wedding books within the year.
The film chapter
Cinema joins stills. The studio’s first wedding film premieres to a standing ovation — and a very wet hanky or two.
Today
